FINLANDIA is a project formed by Argentine Mauricio Candussi and Brazilian Raphael Evangelista.

On stage a fusion of South American rhythms with a focus on sounds little known outside their countries of origin, as the Huayno, Saya, Baião, Candombe and of course not forgetting the tango and bossa nova.

All this mixed with contemporary elements played live with cello, accordion, keyboard, electronic sounds wandering around for environments with choirs and instrumental voices. This fusion sound earned them several awards and featured in the press of 17 countries during their tours in Europe and Latin America, including the selection with 3 more world artists for the project SOFAR London MUSIC, indicating among 30 emerging artists by Oi Novo Som, award for best instrumental Brazilian artist 2011 by HANGAR MUSIC AWARDS and the invitation to join the cast of the French agency VO Music, along with Milton Nascimento, João Bosco and Esperanza Spalding.

For this new show, the duo presents a spectacle with intense and vibrant repertoire of 4 discs, but focused on the release of his newest work, ranging afoxé to Finnish polka, without losing the essence of South America music. "I've never seen a cello played like that" was printing the brazilian press referring to his performance surrounding, where only two musicians prepare a mass of sonorous rhythms that seem a real band on stage, resulting in prominence on MTV Brazil that identified them as "The duo is worth a thousand."

The duo has an intense show that works well on stages of festivals, theaters and parties. Already shared the stage and recordings with great artists: BNegão, Pitty, Karina Buhr, Gaby Beltramino, among others. The places where did presentations include: Café Rivoli Theatre (Portugal), Mbar Helsinki (Finland), Fabrik Kulturzentrum UFA (Germany), Central Brazil Music Conference (Brazil), REC BEAT Festival (Brazil), Contrapedal Fest (Uruguay) Winter Festival of Gramado (Brazil), Jazz Festival Pelotas (Brazil), Theatre Alliance Française (Bolivia), ICPNA theather (Peru), Jazz Cafe Escazu (Costa Rica), K8 Live stage (Nicaragua), Teatro Vera Vera (Argentina), among others.
